Domingos took us to the bus station and waited with us for our bus to arrive.
The bus turned up a little late so we were surprised when we arrived in Seville 20 minutes early.
We messaged our host from the station to say that we were on our way and he messaged back that he was expecting us the next day. I quickly realised that it wasn't Tuesday as I'd thought, but Monday!! Luckily he said we could go to the accommodation a day early.
It was a 25 minute walk to the accommodation. We looked around a little bit to waste time as no one could let us in till 3pm. The parasol caught our interest and we sat on the stairs eating our sandwiches underneath it.
At 2pm Jay messaged to say we'd found the address and would wait in the tapas bar next door. A minute later our host appeared.
I was little confused and after we'd settled in asked what time it was. Now everything made sense! When we'd crossed the border we'd changed time zones. So the bus was late and 2pm was now 3pm!
After chatting with our host and the other guests we set out to explore Seville.
Much to our disappointment many of the churches were closed. The doors indicated they would reopen at 7pm! However Iglesia del Salvador was open. When we exited we realised that that too had now closed. We'd gotten in just in time.
The exterior of Palacio Arzobispal was impressive. It too was closed but it was beautiful.

After that we came across the Torre del Oro. Then we followed the map to Plaza de Espana. It was amazing.
After that we headed back to the accommodation. The other guests thought it'd be fun to make an international dinner. We weren't in the mood as it was already 7:15 but we headed out to the supermarket regardless.
We came home to find the other guests still weren't back so we started cooking a potato curry. The kitchen was too small for four people anyway. Just as we finished they turned up. We were very hungry so we suggested we'd eat the curry first then they could make their dish.
While they cooked we visited the train station to research our options. When we returned we ate the garlic mushrooms and then headed to bed. Jay had caught my cold so was very tired.
3rd April
This morning we lined up to see the Real Alcazar. It had some beautiful rooms with intricate details.
After checking out the palace we headed to the palace gardens. They were very well maintained. Our favourite garden was the prince's garden because it was aromatic.
After the visit to the palace we went for a walk along the waterfront. We saw the bullring along the way but didn't go in.
We decided to cross the bridge and see the other side of the river. There was a market that was mostly closed and some nice views of the river. We bought some pastries to eat in the sunshine. Mine was okay and Jay's was horrible because it was undercooked and doughy. He swapped it for a different one only to find that it too was undercooked.
After the disappointing lunch we headed back to the other side of the river and went home for a break.
In the evening we ventured back out and saw the interior of Iglesia de San Pedro.
Then we went to the Antiquarium and saw some remains of Roman buildings and some old pots. It wasn't very interesting after seeing Rome!
We then looked inside Iglesia de Santa Ines. After that it was time for bed. We were both very tired and a bit sick so that was enough for the day!
4th April
Today we went to the other side of Seville to see the Macarena area. We went inside the Macarena church which was quite impressive (but you weren't allowed to take photos inside).
We also walked alongside the Roman wall and around the shops
.
After that we headed home for lunch and to pack for our train journey to Madrid.
