We arrived at Warwick around lunchtime and after we had a chat with our host Xavier we walked into town.
Nearby the house was St Nicholas Park. We walked through it. Xavier had recommended a spot for a good view of the castle.
We followed the Grand Union Canal for awhile and quickly came upon Warwick Castle.
But just before the castle was Mill Street - famous for it's 15th and 16th century buildings.
I'd been to the castle previously and Jay wasn't too bothered so we had a look from the outside.
Next we popped into the Information Centre and grabbed a town map.
From there we went to the St Mary's Church. It was quite interesting.
After that we went to the Market Hall Museum. It had a lot of information about the history of Warwick.
We checked out a few buildings and landmarks around town.

Warwick was small so this only took a couple of hours to do.
When Xavier came home he drove us to the nearby town Leamington Spa and showed us around.

He then cooked us a gnocchi creation. It was delicious.
June 4th
As Warwick was so small we decided to go to Birmingham today.
The train brought us to the Bull Ring. Near there was the Indoor Market. Unfortunately the other markets were closed (as Monday was their day off).
Next door there was the beautiful St Martin's Church. A bunch of people were waiting for it to open. When it did it was clear why. The church had free food for the needy.
We saw St Philip's Cathedral...
and St Paul's Church.
Then we spent quite some time at the Birmingham Museum.
We had an Indian buffet lunch and then returned to the museum.
After that we walked by the Town Hall...
and Birmingham City Council on our way to the Library of Birmingham.
The library was amazing!
Next we walked along the canal until we reached Chinatown. It was tiny.
Then we caught the train back to Warwick where we cooked dinner for Xavier.
